We live in a rapidly ageing population – the number of people aged 65 years and over have tripled since the 1960s, and those people aged 85 years or older have increased nine fold. Research on the role of nutrition and healthy eating in ageing wellness and brain health continues to grow highlighting the need for relevant, evidenced-based nutrition messages.

We sat down with Ngaire Hobbins Accredited Practicing Dietitian and international author in the healthy ageing area, and she shared her thoughts and experience on this important topic, including how she defines healthy ageing, the key nutrition and dietary messages that will make a difference, and some of the latest research findings in this space.
